I tried to use the format of Thirukkural, ancient Tamil poems, in English poetry. It's not very good but it was worth the attempt. Poetic traditions, both ancient and modern, catch something universal and infinite about humanity; with this poem, I hope to welcome my (few) readers to my journey through the poetry of Thiruvalluvar and Iqbal.
